For us, pets have never just been animals. They have always been family.
My journey with dogs began when I was 18 years old, when my wife, Vikki, gave me an American Staffordshire Terrier named Blade for my birthday.

Blade came from a championship bloodline, but to me he was so much more than that. He was my companion. We ran together almost every day while I trained for soccer, and he became an important part of my life.
Then, heartbreakingly, Blade was stolen.
I searched everywhere for him—even driving for hours hoping I would find him. But eventually, I had to accept that he was gone. It was a loss that stayed with me for a very long time.
Then came Jessy and Joey.
We eventually welcomed two beautiful Labradors, Jessy and Joey, into our family. They were incredibly intelligent, loving and gentle.
At the time, while taking my son Caleb to creche, I became friends with an elderly couple I would see almost every day. I grew very fond of them and loved the time we spent talking.
Only later did I discover that they were both blind.
They needed guide dogs.
That changed everything.

Instead of simply keeping Jessy and Joey as our family pets, Vikki and I decided that, if we could help this couple, we should.
With sponsored training, Jessy and Joey were trained as guide dogs and eventually went to live with that couple.
It was incredibly difficult to let them go—but knowing that they were giving two people greater independence, companionship and quality of life made every bit of it worthwhile.
Then Rocky came into our lives.
After everything we had experienced, we eventually found another American Staffordshire Terrier.
His name was Rocky.

He wasn't Blade—but somehow, he felt remarkably like him.
His temperament, personality and character were so similar that it felt almost as though a little piece of Blade had found its way back to us.
Rocky became part of our family and stayed by our side for more than 14 years.
Eventually, age and illness caught up with him. He developed cancer, arthritis and other complications, and after doing everything we could for him, we reached the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully rather than allow him to continue suffering.
Saying goodbye to Rocky was one of the hardest things our family has ever experienced.
And then there was Tyson.
For a long time, I couldn't bring myself to have another dog.
I had learned something about the love we have for these animals: the deeper the bond, the harder the goodbye.
But eventually I started thinking differently.
Instead of buying another dog, I thought about all the animals sitting in shelters and kennels—animals that had been abandoned, abused, neglected or simply left without a family.
So my son and I went to a local rescue.
And that's where we met Tyson.
He came running towards us like he had been waiting for us.
He twisted and turned between our legs, completely overwhelmed with excitement, almost as if he was saying:
“I've found my family.”
And that was it.
Tyson came home with us.

Why BridgeSource Cares
Our journey with Blade, Jessy, Joey, Rocky and Tyson has taught us that the relationship between people and animals is something very special.
It's about trust, loyalty, companionship, unconditional love and family.
That's why, when we choose products for our pet range, we don't look at them simply as products to sell.
We look at them as products we would use on our own animals.
We test them. We question them. We look at their quality, their value and whether they genuinely make life better for pets and the people who care for them.
Because behind every order is someone who loves their animal just as much as we love ours.
Welcome to BridgeSource.
Where pets aren't just pets.
They're family. ❤️
